EFIMED Progress Meeting
Mediterranean Forest Research Agenda goes ahead
During the EFIMED Progress Meeting the state of the art of the MFRA process was presented by Dr. Yves Birot. Dr. Andreas Kleinschmit expressed his support in the future implementation of the MFRA though existing EU funding research instruments.
 Keeping EFIMED Network members aware of new initiatives
Mr. Mifsud presented the Euro-Mediterranean University (EMUNI) and potential ideas and activities for cooperating with EFIMED. Participants were also informed about the ongoing joint project for Pinus brutia modelling as well as new tools like the SIMANFOR system. The forestry scientific journal of Investigación Agraria: Sistemas y Recursos Foretales, stated its interest in publishing the proceedings of the Seminar. Turkey will host the next EFIMED Annual Meeting. This session concluded with the signature of the Memorandum of Understanding between AIMF and EFIMED.
