Adequate economic policies can tackle the market failures in forest services provision

Past 17th December 58 participants attended the workshop "Payment fore Environmental Services and other Market-based Instruments in forestry: a real solution?". It was organised by CTFC and EFIMED with the Ministry of Environment of Spain. 

New FP7 project - NEWFOREX

EFIMED participates in the FP7 collaborative project NEWFOREX (NEw Ways to value and market FORest EXternalities). It is coordinated by the University of Copenhagen and aims at developing new methods for valuing and marketing currently non-marketable forest functions, goods and services.

Portugal will host next IUFRO World Congress 2014

EFIMED hereby congratulates our colleagues from Portugal, who will host the meeting of forestry scientists from all over the world. This will event will promote our Mediterranean forestry reality in the world arena.
