The latest issue of FTP-Update available!
The issue reminds readers that the deadline for signing up to two
FTP events in Vienna focusing on the European Commission's 7th
Framework Programme is coming up. It summarises the main findings of
the Pulp and Paper subgroup of the FTP's Education and Training Group,
with a call for significant changes in European education and training.
Attention is paid to the upcoming FTP C2009 conference in Stockholm, as
well as to a recent report that shows that forests will be heavily
affected by climate change, with the risk that they will lose part of
their carbon storage capacity.
As always, FTP-Update also presents the latest news about new
research and development projects in the forest-based sector, such as
the BECOTEPs project for promotion of the Knowledge-Based Bio-Economy
and the second phase of the WoodWisdom-Net ERA-NET.
